There are many things to see and do in Spain, from visiting historic cities like Madrid and Barcelona to exploring the stunning countryside. Do be careful with pickpockets, I always carried my backpack or valuables in the front for safely. If you go to bar or restaurant, make sure you eat your food and drink at one setting to avoid drink spiking, as it is a problem in Spain. There are a lot of common fraud on the street, especially in tourist locations, avoid strangers who tries to talk to you first.

Portugal: Portugal is a safe and friendly country for women. The country is home to some beautiful beaches, delicious food, and a rich history. There are many things to see and do in Portugal, from visiting the capital city of Lisbon to exploring the Algarve region. Greece is a beautiful country with a rich history and culture. It is also a safe country for women. There are many things to see and do in Greece, from visiting the Acropolis in Athens to exploring the islands of Mykonos and Santorini.

For woman In general, don’t revel to strangers that you’re actually traveling alone, always suggest you’re meeting up with a friend family or significant other, and stay in high traffic area as much as possible.

Once you've chosen a destination, it's time to start doing some research. From what you want to eat, where you want to visit, to unique destination experiences. Read travel blogs, talk to friends who have been to the area, and check out travel guides. You can also accelerate your planning with Travel Google Maps here.

Plan your itinerary once you've done your research. You can do high level or detail planning for your trip. High level planning is good if you are more spontaneous, and detail planning is great if you want to maximize your time. This will help you make the most of your time and avoid feeling overwhelmed. You could include a mix of activities that you're interested in, with backup plans, as well as some free time to explore and relax. This way your trip is more well balance and you won’t be too exhausted at the end of the trip.

Once you have your itinerary, you can now book your flights and accommodations. This way you can make the best decisions base on your desire itinerary. There are many different websites and travel agencies that can help you with this. Be sure to compare prices and read reviews before you book. I usually use Expedia to book my accommodations because it is so easy to find the hotels I need base on location and price, the cancellation is also super easy if needed. Just take note of the cancellation deadline, usually it’s a few days before the start of your arrival, so when you are planning ahead, you have plenty of time to update your plans as needed.

It's important to pack light when you're traveling solo. You'll be doing a lot of walking, so you'll want to pack comfortable shoes and clothing. Be sure to pack any essentials, such as your passport, medications, and chargers, see the full list here. I also like to keep a few important things in a slim fanny pack I wear under my clothes for safety.

Get travel insurance. Travel insurance is a good idea for any trip, but it's especially important for solo travelers. Travel insurance can help you cover medical expenses, lost luggage, and other unexpected costs. You can also look into what your credit card already cover for medical and lost luggage coverage. I usually use chase credit cards, if you have Amazon, the Amazon Chase credit card not only gives you 5% back for Amazon purchases, it also provides no international transaction fees when you’re traveling. If you want more travel focus benefits Chase Sapphire offers great airport lounge options, travel insurance on your bookings, luggage and medical, and more benefits.

There will be times that you encounter a challenge during your travel, with something unexpected happening, so have some backup plans in case your flight is cancelled or your accommodations fall through.

Start small. If you're not sure if you're ready for a long solo trip, start with a shorter trip to a nearby destination. This will give you a chance to get used to traveling alone and see if you enjoy it.

Don't be afraid to ask for help. If you're feeling lost or overwhelmed, don't be afraid to ask for help. Most people are happy to help out a solo traveler. Generally it’s safe to ask for help in business locations like hotel, restaurant, cafe, retail stores, etc.

Traveling solo can be an amazing experience. Be sure to relax, have fun, and enjoy your trip! I hope these tips help you plan your first solo trip
