5 Hair practices you need for thicker, fuller hair.

Hello Gorgeous,

Don't we all want thicker, fuller hair? I want to share 5 healthy hair tips you must know because I know the terrible feeling I had with Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss. My bald spots truly damaged my confidence, which gave me a wake-up call to healthy hair practices.

We may encounter baldness for many reasons, such as pregnancy, cancer, hair transplant, aging, surgery, disease, or accident. While my condition has improved, I am still actively doing everything possible to maintain my hair. If you have unexplained bald spots, go to a doctor for prescription medicine and practice the following healthy hair tips for fuller hair. Depending on your symptoms, prescription medicine may not always work, so I include a bonus tip for an alternative cure.

Wash your hair in the morning

In the morning, your hair has more volume because it swells after taking in all the nutrients from your conditioner and creams; added styling will make it look thicker and fuller. The morning also helps you avoid sleeping in with your wet hair.

Whereas sleeping at night can easily cause hair damage, especially if you sleep in with wet hair. Water makes your hair 50% more vulnerable, causing breakage and split-ends. Also, don't brush your hair when wet; use a tangle teezer to detangle and gently avoid damage.

Use a cool hair dryer.

Please don't skip the hair dryer, thinking it will damage your hair. Instead, use the cool setting on an air dryer to speed up your drying time without harm. This practice is a better alternative than simply air drying your hair due to the fact your hair is at its weakest when it is wet. Your hair swells with water. Therefore, it will pressure your cuticles and cause them to break, even when you're not sleeping in them. So dry your hair with cool air!

The alternative cure

If you have severe Alopecia Areata, postpartum hair loss, or bald spots that won't grow back, there is an alternative to the cure. Picasso Scalp Micropignation does wonders in creating life-like follicles on your scalp to restore confidence. This treatment is non-surgical and applicable to all forms of baldness, regardless of your severity or gender.

The owner Jeff Villenas is a specialist in hair and beauty. He is an international trainer, master artist technician, and award-winning expert in Scalp Micropigmentation in Los Angeles. Additionally, he is also a Scalp Micropigmentation recipient. Just look at these before and after photos! I am amazed by Jeff and his team; they create incredible work that transforms people's lives.

Before and After

The right water for your hair

Our hair is primarily made up of water, which means being hydrated will provide you with better, healthier hair. While we mention water cause your hair to be vulnerable on the outside, it gives your strength on the inside. Your hair can stop growing due to dehydration, so drink 2 liters of water a day to keep hair strong and growing.

Hair Styling Choices

Anytime you choose tight hairstyling like a ponytail, you risk cuticle tearing. Avoid such hairstyles, alternate ponytail positions, or use silk scrunchies. The silk scrunchies may fall off a little easier than regular hairbands, but it's a big help for having thin hair, dealing with postpartum hair loss, Alopecia, or simply wanting to keep your hair at maximum strength.

Reduce Stress

I know this sounds easier said than done, but it was probably my major factor in having Alopecia Areata and my other hair loss. The fact that I grew up with a lot of hair camouflaged the severity of my hair loss until I saw actual bald spots. Once I realized what the stress was doing to me, I made significant changes to remove stress from my life and saw improvement in my hair recovery.

I hope these practices help you in your regular hair routine. Let me know if you will implement them or if there are any hair tips you want to share!

xx Christine
