Movie Review: Colombiana 2011

Hi Lovelies! It’s been a while since I have time to make a proper post. Although honestly, I still don’t have time now!  haha.. but I am so stressed out right now I think writing a blogpost would be sufficient rest time for me!

Today’s post is a movie review!

Summary of the story is about a girl who witnessed her parent’s murder. From that point on, her soul was filled with revenge and lived to become an assassin.

The storyline is not complicated but it gives you an extra twist here and there. Emotionally you do sink into the movie and suspense lead you throughout the scenes.

I can’t say this is an over the top excellent movie, but the character portrayals are quite realistic. It also made me feel that woman make a better assassin! Since I feel most male assassin movies don’t involve too much strategy planning for the killing. I personally do like the final fight that did not involve any guns or knifes, instead with only pure human emotional and physical battle.

Overall I rate this movie: 4.3 stars.  Worth watching!

  1. I've never heard of this movie before XD hahaha! Hmmm it seems like a lot of revenge movies start off when a family member gets murdered.
I think i'd watch it =D I like it when girls have weapons and stuff XD

  2. i soo want to watch it. zoe is really pretty

  3. @Fern Li: O yeah, I guess that’s true ~ =P was expecting to see bloody scenes for the parent’s death but saw nothing. lol

  4. Ooo this looks like a really good movie. I love Zoe Saldana - she's so pretty and she's a great actress. I like action movies that have a female lead - there's way too many movies where the guy is always the hero :)

  5. I've also not heard of this movie, I must be living in a well! hehe
The picture of her coming out of the wall reminds me so much of Lara Croft.
I'm not sure I'll watch it as it doesn't sound like something I would enjoy, but who knows...I might give it a go if I remember when it comes out here
